There's something about coffee - not just the tastes, but the traditions with the invitation of friendship and opportunities to engage in life with others. It's engaging and warming, much like the friends I like sharing it with. Ethiopia produces some of the most magnificent coffee in the world, in fact the very name comes from the Kaffa Province in Ethiopia where it was first discovered years ago. I had the amazing opportunity to visit Ethiopia in July 2015.
Here is my attempt to share the experience with you.

Below: Green coffee from various provinces for sale at the local market

The cups were small but packed with the most smooth and delicious coffee I've ever experienced.

A Day in the Canyon

The sun illuminated the horizon and beamed across the sky, creating shafts of light flickering in the mile deep canyon below the Southern Rim.

Life in the Indian gardens inside the Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail

Exploring new places and hiking new trails has to be one of my favorite things.

A Grand Goodnight

Alamosa, Colorado

Coloradan clear water

These photos were taken near Durango Colorado where I hiked up a canyon to a little river. The water was some of the most beautiful I've ever seen in the lower 48.

The perfect spot to read a book. I love having a stream to listen to as I relax with a good book.
